This seriously was so amazing and so beautiful. My sister participated in a program that was a dance program for mentally handicap children. She along with other high school volunteers helped teach these children how to do the dances. The volunteers were up on stage with the children while they performed guiding them in the right direction, encouraging them and showing them exactly what dance moves to do. When the children messed up it was okay because the volunteers were behind them doing the right moves and the children were able to follow them and be reminded of (over and over) which moves they were supposed to be doing! It was a beautiful sight to see.
As Christians we are kind of like these children if you think about it... we dont fully know what is going on, however the Lord knows and is there for us, he sees the bigger picture and he leads us in the right direction. When we choose to follow his direction we do the right steps yet when we lose our focus we mess up but God is always right there always pointing us in the right direction. We just gotta follow his lead. We are not perfect by any means and that is evident, yet God loves us and wants to help us and be with us always.

Jesus loves us so much and generally they seem to just get that somehow... they have so much joy.
I saw God's beauty through the way these children danced and essentially lived their life. Today was such a blessing to be able to see this.

A beautiful and wonderful wedding. They have so much love for one another and it is such a beautiful example and testimony of God's love. They both waited for the right one and at the right time the Lord brought them together. Wow. God is so amazing and I love these pictures!

My Spanish teacher from high school wanted me to take pictures of her son's birthday party. I decided that taking pictures of kids is REALLY hard. I am amazed that a few of these actually turned out pretty great! :)

I walked in my kitchen yesterday and I saw that there was a rose on the table. I figured it was from my roommates boyfriend but I think I like the real story better anyway... She was walking home past a gardener and he turned around and said, "Oh, you are just the person I was looking for!" She wondered what he meant but then he handed her the rose and he told her to have a wonderful day. Wow, that really made her day and that story was really great. Gosh, even though that may seem small it really encouraged her and put a smile on her face. We have opportunities like this everyday to make peoples day and love and encourage people, even the people we don't know. We never know how far a small act of kindness can go. Also I truly believe that God places people in our lives to encourage us and show us that he loves us. I want to be one of those people that God uses to encourage others and show them His love. I didnt get to take a really good picture yesterday (on the 11th) which I am kinda bummed about because it is my last day of my challenge but that is okay! This weekend I get the opportunity to take pictures of one of my favorite high school teachers son! He is turning one and I was asked to take pictures of his birthday party so I will be putting up those next weekend! Soo I hope you kind of keep this blog going because I like doing it.

I like taking pictures and I am so glad that I was encouraged to do this. It was interesting because so much changed in my life even in thirty days and every picture is so different, just like the past thirty days. Some pictures are wayy better than others and some just are not as good. Like the pictures...some days were great and some were okay but that is how life is and we just need to decide how we are gonna handle each day. Are we gonna sit in our self pity and think about how awful our life circumstances are or be and stay stress oR are we gonna rejoice just because we have been given another day?! Life may be hard, some pictures are gonna be better than others, yet God is good and he has a purpose for each day.

What a great day. Went running this morning with Ames! We went to the outlet malls with Sarahh too! and ummm I bought the COOOLEST SHOES EVERRR! so did ames...well I mean she got good shoes too but ummm mine seriously rock! Wow, today was a great day. I was out and about all day....doing homework, hanging out with some friends, class, you know the college stuff....but I didnt take the picture until tonight and it was of my bed and my new sheets.....

Okay so this is my bed...I just changed my sheets after a while. Okay let me explain...so when I moved in and got this size mattress I decided to buy two sets of sheets. One set matched my room really well (which was zebra stripped) and the other one was just plain white but it was SO much better quality. But I loved the zebra sheets so I kept using them. When they got dirty I would just rewash them and put those right back on my bed. BUT then I decided that change would be a good thing...I mean I didnt really want to change from my zebra sheets because they were my favorite of the two but...it was time to change. So last night I slept in my bed with my new sheets and it was the most amazing sleep EVER! These sheets seriously ROCK! Okay so the other ones were great and I loved them and I am so so glad I have them but these sheets are seriously so much better and I never even knew!

So that is kinda like life...we think something that we have is so so great and we don't want it changed. We are happy with the zebra sheets. But God decides that we deserve something better and he changes things up! He works everything for his good! Even though I didnt want to change to the new sheets, it totally paid off because they are truly so much better. God is amazing in the fact that he sees the big picture and he knows what is best for us. Even when we think what we have is great and may even be upset at the time that what we think is great for us gets taken away...God knows what he is doing! He knows how much better the new sheets are...we just have to trust him!!!!!! :)

I woke up this morning, not really wanted to be up so early but the day was so beautiful and when I saw the sun shining through the trees it made me smile and I had to take a picture of it. The weather felt wonderful, it was a crisp and refreshing morning when I walked out of the house to take the picture. Yet, I dont think that I realized how much of a blessing it was to have seen the light coming through the trees til later today. I was walking in the kitchen this afternoon and I guess I was in a not so chipper mood but I thought to myself, hey God's mercies are new everyday and then I thought about the beauty of the morning and I thanked God for the new day. No matter how hard life is, each day is such a blessing but we forget that so many times, but today I thank the Lord for reminding me of his love, mercy, and grace for me for each day.

I went on an amazing run today. Well it honestly wasn't anything too special...I didnt push myself to the limit or anything but it was a nice and calming run. Its amazing how much stress can effect you and the sucky part is you don't know that you are stressed until you kinda burst! So it was good to run cause I was able to relieve some stress and now I am energized to start my homework! And listening to good music is always a bonus!

The Gray Family Reunion

To be frank, I am not too fond of family reunions...however the Gray family reunion ROCKED this year! It was at the lake and so fun and beautiful! It is October but me and my cousin got to wakeboard and eat lots of chicken! and sidenote...it is not recommended to eat lots of chicken before wakeboarding...but we didnt care! Kevin and I tried to sneak past all the old folks without being noticed...but i had a wet suit on (tried to hide in under my clothes) and he was carrying a wakeboard...well lets just say we drew a crowd...and it was so funn! Overall today was a beautiful day and great day...I went on a walk and took pictures and got to take pictures of people....and i took bunches more but I like these the most I think!

I am really excited about this new blog! I talked to a good friend of mine today and she challenged me to do a thirty day challenge to take one picture a day...so I decided that it would be a good idea to start a blog so she can hold me accountable for me to take and post at least one picture a day! I hope that this thirty day challenge will encourage me to continue taking pictures. I really love it but I just don't do it. When people ask what are some things that I like to do...I say, "I love photography, but I never do it...I should though." Well my goal for this blog, as I mentioned is to get back into photography. The reason I got into photography in the first place was because I liked bringing to peoples attention the beauty that people normally just pass and don't notice. The blog is titled Discovering His Beauty because that is why I like taking pictures...I like being able to capture the beauty that the Lord has made known to us...
